French delegation from AFAQAP visited PALGA

Last week a delegation from AFAQAP visited PALGA.

AFAQAP (Association Française d’Assurance Qualité en Anatomie et Cytologie Pathologiques) organizes quality improvement on a voluntary basis in the fields of diagnostics, laboratory techniques, and organisation, and is involved in the quality control of molecular diagnostic platforms. The first day PALGA gave a broad presentation of all activities, including the PALGA organisation, the Portal, the possibilities of scientific research with PALGA data and the PALGA protocols. Also all innovations that are taking place were highlighted: PIE (Pathology image exchange) , Lab2Lab communication, and the modular protocol module. The second day AFAQAP delegation accompanied by PALGA representatives payed visits to two laboratories where Dutch pathology practice was presented. PALGA and AFAQAP have the intention to explore the possibilities of mutual reinforcement in the future.
