Palga Foundation appoints Board of Trustees
Palga Foundation appointed a new Board of Trustees on December 12th. This governance adjustment aligns with Palga's growth strategy. The Board of Trustees comprises Walter van Kuijen (chairman), Jan-Eric Slot, Prof. Dr. Katrien Grünberg, and Emeritus Prof. Dr. Han van Krieken. With these members, Palga has a Board of Trustees with extensive experience in healthcare and pathology.

Chairman Walter van Kuijen has a long track record as Senior Vice President at Philips, a member of the Supervisory Board of Elkerliek Hospital, and CEO of SmartQare. Jan-Eric Slot is the outcome information facilitator at VWS DI CIO, former CIO of AMC, and CEO at SNOMED.
To ensure a connection with pathology, two pathologists have been appointed to the Board of Trustees: Prof. Dr. Katrien Grünberg and Emeritus Prof. Dr. Han van Krieken. Katrien Grunberg is not only a pathologist but also the Head of Pathology and Medical Director of the Center for Diagnostics and Advice at Radboudumc. Han van Krieken, besides being a pathologist (np), is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the National Cancer Institute.
The new Board of Trustees collectively possesses an (inter)national and managerial network in healthcare, data availability, healthcare and research infrastructures, VWS, EHDS, pathology, and science. They will guide Palga in its mission to contribute to improving data availability for quality, accessible, and affordable patient care.
