The Second Chamber mentions Palga as an example of national infrastructure for healthcare and science

Joba van den Berg, Member of the Second Chamber, spoke the following words to Minister Kuipers and the Second Chamber Committee for Digital Developments in Healthcare on October 5th:

Chairman, last year I submitted the motion to investigate setting up a new basic system synchronously with the actions already initiated. The motion was discouraged. In the letter of May 23rd, the minister writes that the Advisory Board ICT Assessment estimates 37 million euros for executing nationalization: cleanup and phasing out. The minister states that the proposed measures require elaboration and monitoring. When will these be ready? In the letter of June 23rd about available resources, hundreds of millions are mentioned. But it remains a system of islands where bridges are built between them, and even on the island, there is poor data availability. Does the minister know Palga from pathology: a nationwide system for healthcare and science based on source data for 50 years, with a digital highway providing real-time information, owned by healthcare and with low maintenance costs? I would appreciate a response.

This is followed up with a new motion on October 25th.
