Palga Council

The Palga Council advises the Board statutorily on the annual plan, financial statement, and the policy of Palga. All affiliated laboratories have appointed a representative to the Palga Council.

Committees & Working Groups

Science Committee

The objective of the Science Committee is to advise the foundation on the development, management, and use of the Palga databases and supports the foundation with advice and/or activities regarding the promotion of the use of the Palga database by third parties for scientific research. The committee also provides scientific advice on data requests.

Privacy Committee

The Palga Privacy Committee (PPC) advises Palga, at the request of the Board or on its own initiative, concerning the protection of the privacy of individuals, regarding the provision of data from the Palga database to recipients for purposes other than patient treatment, and on other privacy matters related to the Palga database. The PPC can establish guidelines for the conditions under which and the manner in which data from the Palga database may be provided for purposes other than patient treatment.

Thesaurus Working Group
The goal of the Thesaurus Working Group is to offer Dutch pathologists the possibility to code their reports in accordance with developments in clinical pathology so that search queries can be effectively answered.
