Wat Palga-data de borstkankerzorg hebben gebracht

Oktober staat wereldwijd in het teken van borstkanker. Voor ons netwerk met onderzoekers, registraties en zorgpartners is duidelijk: landelijke pathologiedata maken onderzoek mogelijk dat de zorg écht vooruithelpt.

In het afgelopen jaar zijn 13 wetenschappelijke artikelen gepubliceerd die gebruikmaakten van data uit Palga. De onderzoeken laten zien hoe breed en betekenisvol deze data zijn:

Deze publicaties tonen concreet aan dat data uit Palga onderzoek mogelijk maakt dat impact heeft op diagnostiek, behandeling, screening en voorspelling van risico. Van borstkanker tijdens zwangerschap en vroege prognose tot innovatieve toepassingen van AI en MRI in screening: de resultaten dragen direct bij aan betere zorg voor patiënten. 

Door samenwerking binnen ons netwerk konden onderzoekers bovendien aanvullende gegevens benutten die anders moeilijk te verkrijgen zouden zijn, wat leidde tot waardevolle nieuwe inzichten.
