Palga adds SNOMED CT terminology bindings to its national protocols

De beste behandeling begint met de juiste diagnose. Daarom koppelt Palga SNOMED CT-terminologiebindingen aan landelijke pathologie- en moleculaire protocollen om diagnostiek en verslaglegging te verbeteren.

Deze koppeling bevordert semantische operabiliteit en vermindert de administratieve lasten voor electronische patiënten dossiers (EPD's) en registraties. Ook worden gestructureerde pathologiegegevens volgens de FAIR-principes beter beschikbaar voor secundair gebruik en voorbereid op de European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Palga voegt deze bindingen geleidelijk toe aan alle landelijke pathologie- en moleculaire protocollen en onderhoudt ze actief. De nieuwste versie staat steeds op de website.

The best treatment starts with the right diagnosis. Palga therefore links SNOMED CT terminology bindings to national pathology and molecular protocols to improve diagnostics and reporting.

This linkage promotes semantic interoperability and reduces the administrative burden associated with electronic health records (EHRs) and registries. It also makes structured pathology data more accessible for secondary use in accordance with the FAIR principles and supports preparation for the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

Palga is gradually adding these bindings to all national pathology and molecular protocols and actively maintaining them. The latest version is always available on the website.

Samenwerking en totstandkoming
De SNOMED CT-terminologiebindingen zijn onder meer tot stand gekomen door samenwerking met Nictiz en de SNOMED International Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Clinical Reference Group in samenwerking met de Structured Reporting Implementation Committee van de International Collaboration on Cancer Reporting (ICCR).
