Thesaurus wijzigingen

Thesaurus wijzigingen November 2023 (Versie 2023.2)

In deze thesaurus is zo goed mogelijk de nieuwe WHO-classificatie van tumoren van het centraal zenuwstelsel opgenomen. Hiervoor is nauw samengewerkt met de Nederlandse vereniging van neuropathologie (NVVNP). In de nieuwe WHO zijn vaak meerdere subtypen van tumoren ondergebracht onder 1 entiteit en is er meer nadruk op het graderen van de verschillende tumor typen. Deze systematiek is zoveel mogelijk gevolgd. Daarom zijn meerdere overkoepelende termen opgenomen en enkele specifieke subtypen en afkortingen. In totaal werden 31 nieuwe termen toegevoegd aan de thesaurus waarvan hieronder de 22 nieuwe termen naar aanleiding van de WHO classificatie. Subtypen zijn over het algemeen niet toegevoegd, tenzij op uitdrukkelijk verzoek van de NVVNP. Subtypen die al eerder in de PALGA-Thesaurus waren opgenomen zijn gehandhaafd. Deze zijn in de Thesaurus echter niet meer gemarkeerd als WHO-Neuro.

Thesaurus wijzigingen December 2023 (Versie 2023.3)

Begin 2023 is het WHO “Reporting System for Pancreaticobiliary Cytopathology” uitgekomen (IAC-IARC-WHO cytopathology reporting systems series. 1st ed.; Vol 2) voor het classificeren van pancreas en galweg puncties en biopten. Omdat vanuit de NVVP zowel het cytologie netwerk (NENC) als de expertise groep intestinale pathologie (EGIP) het gebruik van deze classificatie ondersteunen zijn in de PALGA-thesaurus de volgende termen opgenomen:

WHO pancreas 1, WHO pancreas 2, WHO pancreas 3 tot en met WHO pancreas 7. De betekenis van deze categorieën staat beschreven in het betreffende WHO boek maar ook in J.Am.Soc.Cytopathol. 2023(14)243-250 van MB Pitman et al.
